About Repo Dispatch
What this site is
Repo Dispatch is an editorial dispatch on open-source GitHub and GitLab repositories that genuinely matter. It's not a star ranking: each issue is a full investigation into one project — its origin, its real numbers measured at the moment of publication, how the community received it, and why it should matter to you if you work with code agents, AI infrastructure, or developer tools.
Who makes it
Repo Dispatch is written and edited by YasKad, with AI assistance for research, writing, and translation of each issue. We say this openly: we'd rather be transparent about the process than fake a byline that doesn't reflect reality.
Editorial methodology
Every article is built from verifiable, cited sources: the repository's README and contributing guide, the public GitHub API (for stars, forks, commits, contributors, and issues), relevant Hacker News discussions, and release notes when they exist.
The figures in each article — stars, forks, commits — reflect the exact moment they were queried, always noted in the article's closing note. Those figures change over time; they aren't retroactively updated on the page, except for star and fork counts, which refresh live from the GitHub API every time you visit an article.
We don't accept payment or compensation of any kind from the projects or authors we cover, and the choice of which repository to cover in each issue is based solely on editorial judgment about its relevance and impact, not commercial arrangements.
