What data we collect
Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which articles get read the most and where traffic comes from. This includes data like your approximate country, the browser and device you use, and which pages you visit, via cookies and similar technologies.
Accounts and comments: if you sign up to comment, we use Clerk as our authentication provider. Clerk stores your email, name (or whatever you've provided), and manages your session via its own cookies. The text of any comments you post is stored along with your user identifier and the date.
Advertising: this site plans to show ads through Google AdSense. Once that feature is active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show relevant ads based on your browsing activity. You'll see a cookie consent notice before this is enabled for visitors from the European Union and the United Kingdom.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your personal data. We only share it with the providers that make the site work: Google (Analytics and, in the future, AdSense), Clerk (user authentication), and Cloudflare (site hosting and the database where comments are stored). Each of these providers has its own privacy policy.
